Fast Facts:

Infectious Diseases Kill 17 million people worldwide each year

Finding a cure for infectious diseases, eradicating pathogens that take millions of lives each year should be one of the world's top priorities.

While the cost of eliminating diseases is incredibly high, the cost of the lives lost, and the suffering that is felt across the globe is much higher.

In the long term, investing in healthcare across the world will save billions of dollars. This money can be used to help pull nations out of poverty, provide clean drinking water and food to all, and do so much more. If we continue to ignore the increasing health crisis caused by an array of infectious diseases, millions more people will die, and the price to fix the problem will just continue to rise.
